  • In addition to practicing at one’s dojo, members have the privilege of practicing at ISOK dojos across the country and at its international affiliates, since conception, ISOK has grown to include members on its Senior Technical Committee from different countries around the world, and is held in high esteem by those who see the value of its continued work
  •  The opportunity to attend ISOK endorsed activities such as Special Trainings and special practices led by senior black belts
  • Continuing guidance — via web site communication and networking with ISOK Members and the STC
  • The opportunity to be ranked by well-respected Dan grades in your relevant style and not be stuck at the mercy of one particular association. “no politics”
  • Most importantly, membership puts the practitioner in line with the highly respected and ranked Sensei in many other martial arts styles and organizations, and our continual commitment to pass the martial art of karate-do to future generations.
  • The ISOK was formed by a small group of high-ranking karate-ka with impeccable training backgrounds, each of whom was concerned at the growth of Karate schools that did not have proper credentials or training history, thus devaluing both the image and the effectiveness of the martial art of Karate.
  • The ISOK is dedicated to cultivating and respecting the individual excellence of each of its members and supporting them through our dedicated support team and highly respected Karateka in our Senior Technical Council.
  • ISOK is an international service organization for legitimate black belt practitioners and instructors who practice Okinawan and Japanese karate systems, our mandate is to help individual black belts manage their own karate progress and achieve success. We use a modern business model and international standards to interface directly with individual black belts.
  • ISOK is not a black belt ‘mill’. We assess and award rank based on the international standards of the Dai Nippon Butokukai and the International Martial Arts Federation.
